Three Scotties

McVan Scottish Terriers began with the purchase of Maggie McMuffin V, a lovely wheaten Scottish Terrier from Heatherton Kennels in upstate New York in 1982. Since finishing Maggie in both the United States and Canada, McVan Scotties has produced more than 80 champions in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Japan, Australia, Mexico and Brazil including eight All-Breed Best in Show scotties. We are proud of producing three generations of all breed Best in Show winners (e.g. BIS Am. Can. Ch. Gaelforce Postscript "Peggy Sue", her son BIS and BISS Am. Can. Ch. McVan's Stamp of Approval "Sammy" and his son BIS and BISS Am. Can. Ch. McVan Reydale Academy Award "Oscar". Peggy Sue also won the Westminster Dog Show in 1995.

The U.S. National Specialty was won a record setting six times by Ch. Gaelforce Postscript and in 2005 by Am. Can. Ch. McVan Reydale Academy Award "Oscar", her wheaten grandson. In Canada, Intl. Am. Can. Ch. McVan's Sandman and Am. Can. Ch. McVan's Canned Heat have both won the Canadian national.

In terms of recent accomplishments, Am. Can. Ch. McVan's Firestarter "Carrie" was BOWs at the STCA rotating specialty and at Canadian regional specialty. She is already a multiple group winner and now a mother of three. At seven months, McVan's Power of Love "Brenda" was Best Puppy in Show at the Canadian Specialty. Am. Can. Ch. Warscot Enduring Freedom "Henry", McVan's Some Kind of Wonderful, Carrie, and Brenda. Henry was WD at the Canadian Specialty.
